KeePass is an opensource password manager. Although the official site touts it as “lightweight” and “easy-to-use”, it’s also extremely powerful and versatile. You don’t even have to install it in your system, thanks to the optional ZIP package which enables KeePass to run from any folder you extract it to, including flash storage devices (USB stick, memory card). For U3 device users, there’s a special u3p package.
The software’s functionality can be extended through plugins. A handful can be found here, categorized and ready for download (backup, importers, converters, automation and so on).
KeePass is also a multiplaform program. Beside Windows, there are versions for Linux and Mac OS X (KeePassX) as well as mobile deviceports (PocketPC, PalmOS, Blackberry, Symbian)
